CELLAR NOTES

This wine was made in a style that would best express it's fruit characteristics. Clean fruit was processed to tank and cold settled before racking clean and inoculating with cultured yeast. Clarification and bottling happen shortly after fermentation was completed to retain purity and fruit character.

TASTING NOTES

Aromas of lemon honey, lime cordial and hints of elderflower spice, lead this pleasant yet serious off dry Riesling into a palate of texture and elegance.
With a backbone of fine acidity and wild yeast complexities this wine drinks well in its youth but will continue to reward with time.

From Marble Point, near Hanmer Springs, on the Lewis Pass highway, Sheryl Dennis and Richard Campbell have launched three impressive white wines from the 2008 vintage. Try Marble Point Hanmer Springs Riesling Dry 2008(4 stars $21), a  scented, lemony wine with excellent delicacy and depth.
